Family Coasteering Taster Session – AM

Date/Time: 06/10/2018 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Location: Rhoscolyn - Outdoor Alternative

Use your climbing skills to traverse the cliffs, experience ‘wild’ swimming as you round headlands carried by the swell and test your nerve as you leap from the rocks into the deep, there is something for everyone – this is not a dry activity!

This is an excellent way to see the rocky coast and the variety of specialist plants and creatures that are adapted to living here.

These sessions are for children and adults. Children are able to attend from the age of 8 if they are accompanied by a parent or 10 if not. They are intended as family sessions.

These sessions are part-funded by Ynys Môn County Council AONB team t encourage local people to engage with the local coastline as part of the Visit Wales ‘Year of the Sea’. During the session we will be identifying local wildlife we encounter and explaining some of the geological history of the area.
