Penmon history & local interest walk

The Penmon history & local interest walk will take you to the historic Penmon Priory, St Seiriol’s well and Penmon Point with it’s views of Ynys Seiriol or Puffin Island. We will explore a coastline steeped in local history and learn of the medieval rulers of North Wales, local saints and the earlier Celtic history of the area. The walk follows one of Anglesey’s most scenic walks. With the mountains of  Eryri (Snowdonia) as a backdrop, our circular walk will explore the beautiful countryside around this important historical area and finish along the coast with stunning views of Ynys Seiriol. We will learn of St Seiriol and his priory, the incredible bird life on Ynys Seiriol and the carboniferous limestone under our feet. This walk is always popular. This is a moderate walk of approx.5-6 miles which includes uneven ground and is not suitable for pushchairs or those with limited mobility.
